The Art Card Gallery is a place to see art card collages created by artists around the world.

This month, meet Fiber Artist Reed Fowler!

How it works: We collaborate with collage artists we admire to make something small and special for everyone to enjoy. The artist requests a theme or two based on their interests (like, trees, farms, or portraits). We search the collection of over 250K postcards and ephemera to collect materials that respond to the theme. We send an art card bundle to the artist and they create collages with these materials on postcard blanks. Then, the artist mails the postcard collages back, celebrating the wear and tear of the postal service journey.

We feature each artist, update the online gallery as new art cards arrive, and presented curated shows, too. All the original art cards are kept as a small material gallery. They accumulate over time, building context for each other and community among us.
